Good ole Rock Vegas, or as we know it, Rock Hill! Because I live here, and am a photographer, I feel well equipped to share with you some of my favorite spots here in the area for your engagement session (or any other shoot)! Whether it be for your recent engagement, maternity, pregnancy announcement, family, you name it – there is a spot waiting for you.

Best Locations for Engagement Photos in Rock Hill

1. Winthrop

Winthrop is a great option for your session, offering a wide variety of beautiful spots across its campus. The best part? It’s usually quiet and uncrowded, so during your session, it’s likely just you and your photographer enjoying the space. While it’s a fantastic location year-round, it truly shines in the summer when everything is lush and green. It is my personal go-to spot for my sessions in Rock Hill!

2. Glencairn Garden

Glencairn Gardens is another one of my favorite go-to spots in Rock Hill. With its endless variety of photo opportunities, I could easily spend hours here exploring all it has to offer! The gardens are especially stunning in the summer, with vibrant flowers in full bloom and the lush greenery creating the perfect atmosphere for really any type of session – the weeping willows surrounding the pond are absolutely breathtaking! Keep in mind, though, that its beauty makes it a popular choice—especially during prom and graduation season—where it is way busier! However, there is plenty of room to share the space.

3. Downtown Rock Hill

Downtown Rock Hill is truly small-town vibes, making it a super cute location for your session! One of the things I love most about this area is how uncrowded it typically is, allowing you to walk the area comfortably between spots during your shoot. Plus, there’s an Amélie’s nearby—a cute spot for a quick, treat + coffee, which makes for great photos!

5. The Riverwalk

The Riverwalk at Rock Hill – we love it! This location offers lush greenery and and fields, right along the river with a small beach area perfect for easy photo access. In spring and summer, it’s one of my favorite spots thanks to its vibrant, green space. Pairing this location with light-colored outfits makes it the perfect contrast and really makes my subject pop! In the fall, the area transforms with warm orange tones and abundant foliage. However, during the winter, it loses a bit of its charm as the trees shed their leaves, leaving the landscape feeling less lively compared to its summer glory.
